The family of Pa Michael Akanbi Aturu, the late Oguriken of Ogori land, Kogi State, has fixed May 29, 2020, for his final burial.
After an expanded family meeting in Ogori on Thursday, it was decided that the funeral programme will start on 27th of May and run through 29th.
Pa Michael Akanbi Aturu, aged 102 years, died om April 17 in his residence at Udo, Ogori, Ogori- Magongo LGA.
Until his death he was a custodian of verbal Ogori history. Late Pa Aturu will be remembered for his love for his community, who strive to ensure peaceful co- existence amongst the citizens of Ogori-Magongo.
His fame as the oldest man in Ogori spanned beyond the shores of Ogoriland. A descendant of warriors, he will be remembered for his forthrightness, bravery and cordiality.
The late Pa Aturu was also a devoted Christian of Catholic denomination. He is survived by children, grand children and great grand children.
