In a remarkable demonstration of philanthropy and commitment to human capital development, Hon. Muhammed Yahaya Dongo (Ozi Dongo) has donated over ten thousand exercise books and other school materials to students and pupils across the public schools in Kogi Central senatorial district.

This gesture, carried out in memory of the late father of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, stands as a tribute to the enduring legacy of proper upbringing and values that produced Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Speaking during the outreach, Personal Assistant to Hon. Dongo, Ohi Lamisi exacted that education is the greatest gift we can give to our children.

“By providing them with the tools to learn, we are equipping them for a future of limitless possibilities.

“This outreach is Dongo’s humble way of honoring the legacy of the late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo and also sustaining the vision of former Governor Yahaya Bello, who laid the foundation for educational advancement that is followed today by the present governor.

“It also reflects Dongo’s unwavering belief in education as the bedrock of community growth and empowerment,” Lamisi said.

He further stated that Hon. Dongo has reinforced his belief that no investment is greater than that made in the future of children, which cement the track record of his service and giving as a beacon of hope with countless individuals in Kogi Central bearing witness to his compassion and selflessness.

Principals of school, headmasters, community leaders, parents, and pupils expressed profound appreciation for the gesture, describing it as more than just books and bags. “It is hope. Hope for our children to learn better, hope for parents to breathe easier, it is both timely, inspiring and hope for Kogi Central to rise through education. We will never forget this kindness.”

They commended Hon. Dongo for his consistency in supporting education and urged others to emulate his example.
