As the political sojourn into 2027 general election gathers momentum, gladiators who are aspiring for one position or the other, have started the normal political bickering and permutations.
Tellingly, their loyalists and followers, who are often at the receiving end, have also begun conjuring inciting statements, which can permanently make or mar their Principal/ Opponents political fortune at the poll.
By extension, some passive individuals might negligently infer that the well – orchestrated political gimmicks of some of these ardent supporters are mere “beer parlour” talks, but in our clime, most of these public discourse are the chief determinants of who becomes what after the election.
Interestingly, one personality whose name has continued to reverberate through the minds of all discerning political animals in Kogi West Senatorial District is the vibrant, inimitable, urbane, innovative, humility – personified, humane, altruistic, sagacious, intellectually mobile and firebrand – Otunba Olayinka Braimoh.
Let us re- adjust our clock back to 2022 Kogi State guber election. That was the perfect avenue in which the highly – versatile and cosmopolitan Otunba Olayinka unleashed his God- given talent, potentials and leadership acumen to the political class and sworn critics who were apparently intimidated by his brand of politicking.
During the course of his electioneering campaigns in all the nooks and crannies of Kogi State, he was widely accepted and certified fit to succeed the incumbent, not because of his financial muscle – but on the premise of his in-depth knowledge of the dynamics, workings and political culture of Kogi State citizenry.
For a fact, the majority of Kogites were unanimously comfortable with a man who glaringly seems to be in sync with their pulses.
What however, culminate before, during and after the governorship election is a story for another day.
Importantly, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh has successfully and forever carve a niche for himself in the hearts of the common people.
No doubt, Otunba Olayinka is today, seamlessly bestriding Kogi political landscape with such elegance, poise and comfort befitting of a true Prince of the land!
Going forward in Kogi West, due to the lack of servant – leadership posture in the Red dome of the National Assembly, it is high time for a total overhauling.
And the right man to take over from where the incumbent will stop in 2027 is no other personality than the – youthful, useful and trusted Otunba Olayinka Braimoh.
Without sounding immodest, 2027 will be the right time to install people – centric representation that can galvanize the much required equitable distribution of dividends of democracy in Kogi West to which Braimoh can guarantee.
For sure, it will amount to political treachery, usurpation of social duties and responsibilities, and obfuscating what is right from the less favourable if we fail to act right by electing Otunba Olayinka as our next Senator come 2027, who is in a better position to reposition our lost glory.
Anticipatorily, Kogi West constituents is non – painstakingly confiding in Otunba Olayinka, who have a duty to Allah and Kogi West to identify their needs and rise to the occasion to solving it.
They’re very confident that if entrusted with their social mandate come 2027, he is going to cross the t’s and dot the i’s to the glory of God and humanity.
Inexplicably, the entrepreneur – savvy Olayinka has over the years built an attitude of service and unmatched philantropism that sets him apart to be a natural – born winner.
Naturally, the people’s choice is adept at seeing a challenge knowing fully well he can fill the void, and then stepping up to do all he can is one of his Midas touch for unmitigated success in his private engagements.
Rhetorically, can he deliver on promises made when the chips are down? Yes!
He has the right mentality, knows his onions, right attitude, mindset, heartset, conversant with the terrain and frame of reference etc.
If elected as the distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2027, he has promised to serve with this motto:
I will observe the needs around us and I will direct my constituents to observe diligently. I will seek to understand what we can do together, and I will show my constituents how we can make a difference. I will do what I can to make it come to fruition and I will take the time to ensure that our dear constituents are a part of the solution to the myriad of challenges bedeviling Kogi West
In no ambiguous terms, it is our collective responsibility to stand out for these glaring realities and inculcate the spirit of living our dreams and aspirations for a prosperous, viable, sustainable, human capital and infrastructure – laden developed Kogi West, under the tutelage of the God – sent servant – leader – Otunba Olayinka Braimoh who is well equipped, prepared and committed to taking Kogi West to an eldorado.
If we truly crave for accelerated and unprecedented development in Kogi West, it is the ideal time to engender a human face representation based on meritocracy, rather than whipping sentiments, playing the mindgames of forceful imposition and unholy romance with political mediocres.
Finally, if we act right in 2027, Kogi West political trajectory will be etched in gold and posterity will sure come to terms that their path has indirectly crossed with a certain Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, who is delicately poised to make a mark superlatively in human – capital development, unstinted infrastructure development, monumental community outreaches, unprecedented stewardship and prudency, people – centric representation and leadership posture and above all, humanity – first insignia etc.
Kogi West has all what it takes to be great and be a cynosure of all eyes if our intention is original and genuine as a leader.
