The Olukoko of Ogidi Land, High Chief Shuaibu Ipinmisho, has been described as one of the greatest politicians from Ijumu local government area of Kogi State.
The State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Helen Adeniyi, made this known while delivering her goodwill message at Alhaji Ipinmisho’s 60th birthday celebration in Lokoja on Wednesday.
Dr. Adeniyi said the celebrant is known across the state as a good man who is very reliable.
“He is one of the greatest Ijumu has produced. He has paid his dues in Kogi politics. He has weathered many storms and is still standing strong.
“Alhaji Ipinmisho is courageous, hospitable and above all, a good family man,” she said.
Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim said the celebrant is a man full of positive traits.
Alhaji Suleiman, who is Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s Director General, Protocol, noted that Alhaji Ipinmisho has made contributions to almost all political arrangements in Kogi state.
“His life at 60 is a testimony to the fact that we should be nice to everyone we meet on our way up. You have made friends across all zones in the state and on behalf of the Chief Servant of Kogi state, I wish you many happy returns,” he said.
General Manager, Kogi Hotels and Tourism Board, Prince Philip Orebiyi, recalled his early interactions with Alhaji Ipinmisho and submitted that he represents peace and unity.
Prince Orebiyi attested to the celebrant’s humane disposition to issues and noted that he has never been disappointed since he met him.
Provost, Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, Dr. Femi Fashagba, re-echoed the submissions of other well-wishers, adding that Alhaji Ipinmisho is a man of unquestionable integrity who is trust worthy and God-fearing.
A former executive chairman of Ijumu local government, Hon. Fehinti Dada applauded the celebrant for living a worthy life. Describing him as his political associate, the former council chairman said Ogidi community is proud of Alhaji Ipinmisho.
The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Social Investment Programs, Hon Abdulhamid Okene Aminu, said the celebrant is a dedicated and humble public servant.
Hon. Aminu noted that Alhaji Ipinmisho is highly respected among fellow appointees and usually referred to as the father of SSAs in Kogi State.
Several top government functionaries and politicians as well as members of the academia graced the colourful event.
