Otunba Duro Olusegun Aseremaseka, the Maiyegun of Aiyede Amuro, has applauded Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide Joseph, Member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, describing him as “Omoluabi to the core” for fulfilling his promise of N20 million made during the last governorship election campaign for the construction of a befitting Olujumu Palace in Iyara.
According to Otunba Aseremaseka, this noble gesture reflects Abejide’s integrity, reliability, and deep respect for traditional institutions. He emphasized that honoring such a significant promise—especially to a constituency outside his primary federal representation—demonstrates exceptional character, generosity, and a genuine commitment to the unity and development of Okunland.
The Maiyegun of Aiyede Amuro expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of well-meaning sons and daughters of Ijumu, commending the Gbobaniyi of Iyamoye for this outstanding contribution to the cultural heritage and advancement of Iyara community.
He prayed that God will bless Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide with long life, sound health, and renewed strength to continue his impactful leadership.
Otunba Aseremaseka further called on other politicians in Okunland to see Okun as one, united people, and emulate the exemplary leadership qualities of Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide Joseph, whose actions continue to bridge divides and promote collective progress.
He also urged all well-meaning Ijumites to pray for Rt. Hon. Abejide, asking God to grant him sustained good health, longevity, and greater capacity to serve humanity.
