… screening exercise must end successfully.
Those who throw stones in the market place are doing it unknowingly because their relations and family members maybe be victims.
When the former late governor of kogi state, Prince Abubakar Audu was in government, some indigenes of the state felt he has not done enough. Prince Audu was stoned, humiliated and voted out of power in 2003 and lost to ex-gov Ibrahim Idris. The same man who had given much to the growth and development of kogi state was also disgraced and booed in 2015 governorship campaign in Koton-karfe.
Ex-Gov Ibrahim Idris, during his eight years stay, also got his share of embarrassment despite the major achievements of providing Lokoja greater water project and many others in lokoja. He was disgraced and stoned.
The immediate past Ex-Gov Idris Wada was not left out of the stoning saga, he was severally booed and molested, not minding his age and achievements. If all the civilian governors of the state are hated so much by indigenes and those who caused the problems of the state, can we then be surprised that a young, dynamic and God-sent governor who has come to save the state from collapse was stoned?
Those criminals and cabals that are behind ghost workers and fraudulent practices were responsible for the recent attacks and the governor is determined to conclude what he has started. No amount of intimidation can stop the screening in kogi state.
