Diligence, as enshrined in the Holy writ is a key to every excellent performance. Proverbs chapter twenty two verse twenty nine validates the above statement by saying thus;
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”.
This saying, very well captures the leadership of the Lokoja local government Area council chief administrator, Hon Shiru Lawal and his efforts in ensuring that the projects embarked upon by him, as the sole administrator are completed as at when due for the good of Lokoja local government people.
Let me use this medium to commend the honourable chief administrator, Shiru Lawal for his courage, effort, energy and enthusiasm in keeping to his assignment as the administrator. Sometimes, I will wonder where he derives his strength from, especially in the course of his inspection routines to project sites spread across the entire local government including the outside wards of Lokoja ||, and more often, while inspecting these projects, the administrator will have to walk miles. In the course of ascertaining the level of work done, the administrator will give instructions on what to do to ensure that the projects meet completion deadline.
He is in the routine of leading a team of Engineers to the project sites in order to avoid delay and to ensure that the construction work is ongoing. His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has always promised the people of Lokoja good infrastructural development , and this promises is what Hon Shiru Lawal is busy actualizing.
I am saying this with all sense of honesty and without prejudice. I am saying this as someone who has always been following up the activities from inception of these projects to their present status, some of the projects have been completed. Some are ongoing.
In terms of construction of motorize boreholes, Hon Shiru Lawal has successfully constructed and completed ten (10). Across Lokoja local government. He has successfully Constructed blocks of Class rooms and renovations of some dilapidated school within the local government of, the recent of it is the newly construction and rehabilitation of Maigari of Lokoja office by the Hon chief administrator led administration within one year in office and drainages erosion intervention work also have been done within the loca government.
You will agree with me that Shiru Lawal is diligent in service and his diligence has brought him before kings.
The good people of Lokoja local government always admit that if Shiru Lawal is given an opportunity to serve as the executive chairman he will turn the fortune of the local government for the better, in terms of infrastructural development, education, healthcare facilities, youths and women empowerment. This he has delivered.
Sir, you are indeed a promise keeper and your work for the past one year has proven your integrity and your love for the people of Lokoja local government with an award of excellence, and I say bravo to a diligent leader.
