Chief administrator of Lokoja local government Area council is fast becoming the peoples favorite leader in Lokoja local government, following his high rate of project execution.
Hon Shiru Lawal has assured that he will step up the tempo of projects delivery with his office and has promised to continue to work for the progress and uplift the local government, even as he assured of more dividends of democracy.
Shiru Lawal gave the pledge today during visits to various sites of ongoing projects across the local government in continuation of his on-the-spot inspection across the local government.
The prominent chief administrator noted all the projects inspected have direct relevance to the welfare, security and economic development of the local government.
He said that the administration is investing resources in the improvement of the living condition of the people, which needs to be encouraged.
Some of the projects inspected included Lokoja local government women development center Project, Construction and renovation of Maigari of Lokoja office among others.
He was received in all the places visited by groups of joyous crowd, including elders, youth and women amidst dancing and singing in appreciation of the projects.
Traditional title holders and stakeholders of the benefitting communities expressed joy and appreciation to the administrator for keeping his promises to bring more dividends of democracy to the people and urge him not to relent his efforts to positively impact the people.
At the inspection of office of Maigari of Lokojai, Shiru thanked the people for their support and understanding with Governor Yahaya Bello and APC led government at various levels, adding that his office had focused infrastructure projects like primary health care centre’s, construction and renovations of class rooms, skills acquisition and women development centre’s, including water among others
The stakeholders assured him that the entire community of Lokoja was solidly behind him in the task to realise his dream of modern Lokoja in no distant time.
At the site of ongoing Lokoja women development centre project, Shiru expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work done which has reached advanced stage and assured the benefiting communities of speedy completion of the project.
He expressed optimism that the people will start to enjoy the project.
According to him, he would never promise what he would not fulfil and pleaded that the people should reciprocate the gesture by supporting the New Direction and APC led government at all levels.
The administrator urged the contractors to maintain the tempo of work to ensure that they deliver the projects on schedule and in line with the approved specifications.
He stated that the government will continue to fund all critical projects in the local government, pointing out that no project will be abandoned.
