Conditions are oftentimes like a flower which is blooming in the morning but folds and wishers away during the course of the day, or the vice versa. He thought he had all the powers and rights in the world to do as he wanted when he wanted. However, he has been cut down to size, if not completely cut out, by the overwhelming majority of votes garnered by Audu/Faleke ticket.
In the Bible, same is said at Ecclesiastes 3 : 1 – 8. (To Everything There is a Season).
-To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
-A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.
-A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to build up.
-A time to cast away stones, and a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.
-A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak.
My hearts feels troubled for those who think they have all the powers in the world to act anyhow, disregarding the fact that there is coming a day that they will be reduced to Mr Nobody. They will soon be history, disappearing from the political arena.
Back to my subject matter – “My heart bleeds”. Kogi has been for the past many years been at the crossroads; with the situation becoming more critical under the myopic leadership of Bello. The callousness, intransigency, incompetence, the propensity to corrupt and be corrupted, and the infatuation with lying, have become ever pronounced under Bello more than any other governors in the annals of Kogi politics. Selective justice, injustice, next week syndrome, taking Kogites for fools, if not for rough rides, manifestations of human monstrosities and perpetration of official corruption with their evil ramifications have become the order of the day in Kogi. Oh, what a pity!
The few those lopsidedly profiting from the worsened economic situation purposively created by Bello, do not give a hoot about the suffering Kogite lot. If they had their own way, the situation should remain as it is, as long as it takes. What a wicked wish or prayer by wicked people without foresight? How does Kogi advance, when abounding in people doting on selfish ideas that have the potency to impoverish the entire nation in not too distant future? Why should these selfish few be granted the unfettered licence to live in ostentation at the expense of the majority.
Why, Why and why?
