Today, I can say without fear of contradiction that nothing is working in kogi state.
Yahaya Bello is a fine administrator who lost direction due to inordinate ambition.The ‘Belloteam’ should know that history and posterity will judge them if they do not do what is expected of them now.
Today in Kogi state, everything is on a stand still and billions of Naira has gone unaccounted for. Kogi State University is on strike, Kogi State Polytechnic is on strike, Kogi state secondary schools are all on strike, Kogi state primary schools are on strike, Kogi state Colleges of Education are all on strike as well.
Bello promised to gives Lokoja town a face-lift. He bulldozed all our roundabouts overnight for spiritual reasons best known to him and as I write, none of these edifices has been rebuilt!
The ASUU strike has lingered on for 3 full months and it is biting harder on students and parents. NLC has shut down the state, the kidnappers have taken over the state, killers are on a rampage, Kogi state is now the den of the kidnappers and assassins. Despite all these abnormalities, Bello is still deceiving himself in the name new direction.
We the citizens must not rest on their oars in demanding for good governance. The attitude of the governor towards resolving all these lingering crises has been unhelpful because he is too arrogant and insensitive to the needs and demands for justice and equity .
The situation of Kogi state under Governor Yahaya Bello is so horrible and pathetic!
Government under Bello has failed in all her responsibilities to the citizens over the months. The state governor appears extravagant, wasting resources.
