It is rather appalling that while former Governor Idris Wada was ably present in person at the Brekete family programme this morning, the Governor of Kogi State who is supposed to be present to counter his predecessor as they both are expected to give accounts of stewardship, was absent and not even represented at all.
Does this Governor of Kogi State care at all? What distance is there between Lokoja (Government House) or even Okene (his village) and the radio house in Abuja, where he is supposed to be present this morning to address the people and friends of Kogi State and even as well use the platform to make a case of good stewardship for himself against his predecessor?
If it’s to rush to Aso Rock to go and greet Yusuf Buhari for no good reason at all, he knows to do that well, even if it’s not in his itinerary as Governor of a State, one that is even about folding up due to failure of leadership.
I condemn in strong terms the absence of Governor Yahaya Bello in the well-publicised Brekete family radio programme this morning. If the Governor was too be busy and then he cares, would he not have at least sent one of his Media Aides to represent him in the programme?
He just wasted the time of the people of Kogi and the friends of Kogi this morning. This shows how careless he is and how Kogi really deserves a Governor that cares, surely not his type at all.
On behalf of my humble self and on behalf of the understanding friends of Kogi State, I tender my unreserved apologies to all friends of Kogi State and to Honourable Ahmed (the OAP of Brekete family radio programme).
Also, I extend my apologies to Former Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada. At least, this morning he saw for himself the kind of Chief Executive his successor is. Therefore, there is no gain emphasizing to Captain Idris Wada the more reason why he should accept to run again for the Office of Governor of Kogi State, that he might return to Government House in Lokoja by January 2020 and captain Kogi out of the “careless” leadership it has found itself since January 2016.
