After carefully analysing the goings-on with respect to governance in our dear state, Kogi, one would wonder what the next three years hold in stock for kogites.
Would it be a case of continued reform represented by screening of workers or would the government delve into infrastructural development bearing in mind that payment of workers salaries does not guarantee long term development but building of roads, water, electricity and other enabling projects would ensure true development?
Thus far, Governor Yahaya Bello has evinced no intention to move beyond payment of salaries, which is half-hearted at best, incompetent and fraudulent.

Over the last eleven months, nearly half of Kogi genuine workers have been paid measly percentage of their entitlements despite a groundswell of funds pouring into Kogi coffers from Abuja. This is not to mention the fraudulent retention of billions of naira released to Bello from the excess of debt service refund against the directive of President Buhari that all outstanding salaries, pensions, and arrears be paid before Christmas.
The shocking shifting of performance period to next year by the government of Yahaya Bello is a crystal clear admission that the last eleven months had been wasted.
I want to advise Governor Bello to face the stark reality that he has under performed in his first year and should disregard the online praise-singers who are pursuing filling their pockets and their bulging tummies.
Our people are patient but not slavish and will speak out with their votes in a few years from now.
