In the last couple of months, a global pandemic has been frustrating and jeopardizing the socio-political and economic structures of the world. The world is shivering on any tick of the clock as the epidemic knows no boundaries on either the have or have not.
Essentially, akin to developed countries, Nigeria leaders are curious and determined to end this vicissitudes COVID-19. In contrast, some Nigerians are trying to truncate this voluminous slow but steady effort of the government by showcasing the magnitude of their ignorance or cheap political propaganda. This became unprecedented when an opinion moulder, role model and erstwhile president allegedly clamoured to see the first recorded victim so he can exchange pleasantries. Hence, Baba Iyabo’s reported political opinion became a source to reference when ordinary Nigerians want to justify COVID-19 as a factor of financial extortion in our clime.
Amazingly, as the ‘audio’ COVID-19 became ‘video’, those shouting ‘No Coro’ are now chanting ‘GMB close border and address the nation’. At this point, my thoughts were what are you expecting from the General you called mentally derailed to assert on a global challenge that has rendered superpowers and renowned scientists incapacitated?
Devastatingly, in other to cohort this epidemic, restrictions has been placed on social gathering. While few are complying, majority are rebuffing given credence to superstitious believe which is a norm in an environment where people are indoctrinated, at the benefits of the few clergy.
Most recently is the ostensibly picking of one of the most popular figure hair from a divine scripture who has give up the ghost for over 1,000 years, claiming the former delivered the revelation via night meal to an individual.
Meanwhile, the same scripture started clearly that there shall be no insertion or omission after the scripture, because the religious is completely descended- discernable. There are clauses attached to congregation prayers and hand checking but nothing like picking of paraphernalia in the Glorious book.
Who knows where this hair that was used to ‘hairirize’ drinking water are coming from. I urge everyone to debunk and stay away from this fallacy so as not to give birth to another global pandemic.
