The quote #ChangeBeginsWithMe was relevant during the previous government. Unfortunately, this government is also working hard to keep it relevant.
Last year, Nigerians already changed by voting the ruling party APC into power. You can’t push the initiative back to
them, it’s not the body of the spear that pierces the target, it’s the head.
As impatient as Nigerians are, they waited patiently when President Buhari took 6 long months to pick the ‘Saintly’ ministers. God knows I & Other Nigerians who voted for you have given you the benefit of doubt, when you say we have to change first I am afraid Mr President you got it wrong. We have been changing consistently. The only person
who has not changed is you and your team. The least we expect from you is a little gratitude and appreciation. We had the choice of picking either Atiku or Kwankwaso. Yet we chose you.
We have consistently changed our ways to bring you in. We appreciate what you have done with Boko Haram. But there is rampant kidnapping. There is robbery.
There is hyper inflation. There is recession. There is hunger. People are dying. We demand you change the way you respond to our demands.
Search for honest and sincere advisers. For now, all we see is a retired General surrounded by a bunch of lawyers as ministers and incompetent spokesmen blabbering incessantly.
Praises, uncritical and sycophantic support don’t help any leader to succeed, they rather cause him to be out of touch with reality. In time, we will swallow our prides and tell the people this moses is not the one.
