The reality of the change slogan in Kogi State is indeed heartbreaking as the cost of living has gone up to a superlative degree. Change according to the Oxford Advanced learners’ dictionary is to become different/make a difference/make pass from one state to another/replace or exchange. The slogan change as adopted by the APC, the ruling party in Nigeria has raised so much dust that Nigerians have begun to wonder if their  own change connotes bondage or chain as one of my friends will say.

I wish to advise the media to cry out so that the Government will know that people are not happy. They should know that the youths are weeping. They should have a way of creating job for the youths because lots of jobless people are on the street. It is the responsibility of the Media to let the government know that things are getting out of hand. You see crime here and there because there is no job. Fulani’s herdsmen killing innocent people ( I wonder if the IG of Police is living on this planet earth or he has forgotten various voices of blood are crying bitterly unto God in heaven),  strikes and rumours of strike, hike in fuel pump price, inflation, and retrenchment at geometric progression have become the rhythm of this administration. At times,  I wonder if some of those journalists are living on this planet, earth . Sometimes, somebody may come to market and go home with nothing while some people are busy embezzling billions and trillions of naira, looting it out of the state.

Another worthy Nigerian, Ramat Abdullahi showed her grievance by telling Alfa Tijani that she is totally feeling bad. “If there is any word worse than bad, I will use it. The Economy is too rough and I am not happy. As at now we have no platform of changing for good. What we have in Kogi is “poluticians” not politicians. Corruption is in every aspect of the economy. Commissioners for this and that and yet nothing is being done to better the lives of people.  They camouflage the trust and tell us lies. Foolish majority is a very bad word that you only see chemical but in Kogi it is a lucrative word. I tell you now and here that Kogi has no foundation of development. We have somebody who has nothing to offer but rather to pollute. Administration cannot survive under segregation and discrimination. Today what are we facing? It is Verification Exercise , Fulani herdsmen forming their own Republic outside the Republic of Nigeria or the bad Economy?

They have polluted the Economy very badly. If the youths should come together and change their mentality, orientation and put those people aside, Kogi will be a better place to live.
