In an unrelenting efforts to put everlasting smiles on the faces of his constituents, Hon. Lawal Idirisu keeps delivering on his campaign promises.
Hon. Lawal has done what nobody has ever done in the history of Ajaokuta Local Government as a serving member of the House of Representatives by securing two federal government appointments for his people.
In the past, we have had selfish, visionless, wicked and self-centred leaders that during their tenures will either sell the job slots given to them to their fellow colleagues in the Green Chamber or they give it out in exchange to secure contracts that can yield them quick money.
Hon. Lawal has proven to be the true son of the soil. It’s only a visionary leader who have the interest of his people will think like Hon. Lawal does. My people should go and see beyond the Local Government. They should go and see beyond the state just like His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello. Studying the unique and modern system the Governor is using to rebrand and rebuild Kogi today are experiences he has gathered from places outside the state. Hon. Lawal stated.
The beneficiaries of these employments are; Mr. Andrew Abanda and Mr. Abdulsalami Yakubu.
In some part of the country, federal government jobs are prerogative for some individuals or class. But Hon. Lawal has vowed to bridge that wide gap between the rich and the poor in Ajaokuta Local Government.
Hon. Lawal didn’t just stop there, but has also embarked on free eyes treatment in some parts of the Ajaokuta Local Government.
The exercise took place across Eganyi district of Ajaokuta Local Government which accommodates eight (8) wards. The exercise is planned to be extended to other districts of the Local Government in days to come.
Hon. Lawal has performed beyond reasonable doubt. And the people of Ajaokuta are always ready to support the New Direction policy of Governor Yahaya Bello and Hon. Lawal Idirisu of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.
It is important to also note that, Hon. Lawal’s unquenchable hunger for development have endeared him to operate an open-door leadership style thereby directing wards leaders, youth leaders and women leaders to put head together to make lists of confronting issues they are faced with.
Rt. Hon. Lawal is always heard directing his followers to always be peace abiding citizens and to make it a duty to in all ramifications and to use everything within their disposal to support the Operation Cleanse the System of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Conclusively, Hon. Lawal urged all the Ajaokuta sons and daughters regardless of Political affiliation to be patient with His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello as he is committed to make a ‘London-like Kogi State in Nigeria’.
