Despite the pledge by Nigeria’s two main political parties to violence free general elections, violent acts by their supporters appear to be on the rise. It is common knowledge that destruction is very easy and reconstruction very difficult.
Alfa Tijani, a social mediator warned the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) against mismanaging the electoral success it attained in the 2015 general elections. The APC after becoming too proud and drunk with success has eventually crumbled at the federal level and the party has eventually splitted into four. The APC has finally splitted into four groups, and they would no longer have unity among them. They were over bloated; too much success has destroyed the party.
A governor called a meeting on paying all the outstanding salaries arrears, workers and pensioners were jubilating but nothing happened in that sector till the year 2016 ended. Their hearts is heavy and ladened with pains. The governor has failed woefully to pay worker’s salaries. He is heavily indebted to even pensioners who spent their youth and strength to labour for the state. In their old age, the governor has abandoned them……. What abomination!
Operators in the kingdom of darkness are already working. The governor should get back to the serious business of governance. As things now stand, we do not see a government committed to attaining primary objectives.
The government of the day is a disaster to the land,  the government is a cancer to this land. There is no need trying to cover their incalculable and iniquitous mess. If you don’t feel it now, you will feel it later.
In 2019, those who arrest people, would be the ones to be arrested. The hunter would become the hunted, those said to be above the law, would collapse under the weight of the law.
– Alfa Tijani, a social crusader, writes from Kogi state.
