A LETTER RECOMMENDING DR. IFEOMA OKOYE FOR THE NATIONAL HONOUR AWARD OF THE ORDER OF THE NIGER (O.O.N)

We hereby write you this open letter to recommend Dr. Ifeoma Okoye for a national award of the order of the Niger (O.O.N). This recommendation is made because of her altruistic performances, peaceful and egalitarian nature, philanthropy, and immense contributions to the development of the real estate sector.
Dr. Ifeoma Okoye is a distinguished professional with over 25 years of experience spanning human capital management, business strategy, and real estate development. She is the Founder of Brent Housing Development Ltd. and the MD/CEO of Brentbrooks Nigeria Ltd., where she has championed innovative housing solutions and contributed significantly to Nigeria’s fast-growing real estate sector.
Her career trajectory reflects excellence across both the public and private sectors in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, from her early years in banking and telecommunications, to her pivotal role as Executive Director, Business Development at Brains and Hammers Ltd., one of Nigeria’s leading real estate firms.
A trailblazer in a male-dominated industry, Dr. Okoye has successfully managed medium- and large-scale development projects, corporate turnarounds, and strategic initiatives that align with global best practices. Beyond her business accomplishments, she has also excelled as a Human Resources leader, shaping policies, systems, and processes that continue to impact institutions positively.

Her achievements have earned her multiple recognitions, including being named a Leading Woman in Real Estate and receiving special recognition from the Housing Circuit for her invaluable contribution to the building industry. She is also a Rotarian, a recipient of the Award of Excellence in Sustaining Development and Diplomacy, and a recipient of an award for distinguished humanitarian services, further underlining her commitment to service, leadership, and societal impact.
Dr. Okoye holds a Doctorate degree in Humanities and is an alumna of Middlesex University Business School, UK, where she earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Managers.
Through her professional accomplishments, philanthropy, and exemplary leadership, Dr. Ifeoma Okoye continues to inspire a new generation of Nigerian women to break barriers and lead with integrity, courage, and vision. She is being considered as a role model to the youths and therefore deserving of this award.
Indeed, Nigerian guest of building an egalitarian society can only be achieved only if we depart from the old ways of considering people not deserving of our national awards to a pragmatic and systematical new ways of considering deserving individuals for recognition as models winning our prestigious national award. .
We, therefore want to use the medium of this open letter to thank Mr. President for his renew hope agenda which emphasis rewards for hardwork, industry and peaceful acts and the location of only genuine patriots and role models for the conferment’s of our national awards. We are therefore confident that our request will be granted if the records of Dr. Ifeoma Okoye is anything to go by.
