An Open Letter To Hon. Omale Hassan, Member Representing Ankpa,Omalla And Olamaboro Federal Constituency
You Are A Bigger Pharaoh Than Gov.Yahaya Bello
DEAR HON. OMALE HASSAN,
I remember those sayings that says ‘Does who live in glass house don’t throw stones and “remove the big log in your own eyes before you remove the spikes in another man’s eyes.
Last week the media published an interview by you in which you referred to Governor Yahaya Bello as a pharaoh brought on Kogites. After reading the said interview, I understood that the only premise you called the governor a Pharaoh was because of non-performance and Mal-administration trend of the current administration which has been their regular trade mark.
Mister Honourable, if you refer to Governor Yahaya Bello as a Pharaoh, then what should we the people of your immediate constituency call you?. A saint or what?. The gospel truth is that if non-performance is the basis of your assessment and calling the Governor a pharaoh, I guess you are more a bigger and better pharaoh than Yahaya Bello.
Mister Honourable, let me put these questions straight forward to you since you assumed office over a year ago: How many infrastructural and social amenity programme/policy have you directly or indirectly initiated? What has been your contribution toward eradication of hunger and poverty which has ravaged the entire Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omalla constituency? What youth/women empowerment programmes have you undertaken in the entire Ankpa, Ollamaboro and Omalla constituency? What about the issue of the ecological trauma witnessed inform of gully erosion ravaging the nook and cranny Ankpa, Ollamaboro and Omalla constituency? These and many more questions are begging for answer, given the fact that you have collected constituency allowances on our behalf for the past one year.
You have comfortably turn yourself into one of the Abuja based legislators who only visit their constituencies at their own will not when the are actually needed to visit. You drive in big big cars, eat three square meals a day, your children and immediate families go to the best schools in Abuja, but your immediate constituency on which political privileged you enjoy, has now been comfortably turned into a romantic heaven for poverty, hunger, disease, child labour, street begging, hacking and environmental degradation etc.
In fact, Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro could be best adjudged as the worst Local Governments to live in in Kogi state.
Mister Honourable, instead of you to concentrate on the twin tasks of providing democratic leadership and its dividend to the people of your constituency, you are busy calling Yahaya Bello, the governor of the state a Pharaoh. This is just a clear case of a kettle calling pot black. A clear manifestation of the popular saying of playing to the political gallery via trying to remove the the spikes in someones eyes without removing the log in your own eyes.
In the eyes of people of Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Federal constituency, you can be comfortably called a Pharaoh!
My advice Mister Honourable. We did not elect you to represent us at the national assembly to be granting interview aimed at identifying who a pharaoh is and who is not, or to become a sleeping member but to become proactive in assembling and promoting measures that are aimed at eradicating or better still alleviating the three menace of Hunger, Poverty and Environmental Degradation which have turn Ankpa, Ollamaboro and Omalla constituency into a living hell. Our constituency is in dear need of infrastructural and social amenities revamping, qualitative and functional youth and women empowerment scheme (not sharing of rice and Keke NAPEP or Okada), comprehensive intervention to tackle the problem of erosion in the constituency.
As we await your functional intervention in the plight of our dear Ankpa, Ollamaboro and Omalla constituency via our constituency allowances, we pray that almighty God put you on the right path of history.
Yours,
Enemama Sam Akubor
