I salute your excellency, the executive governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the name and spirit of common experience and shared humanity.
I congratulate your excellency for the success of your first administrations as the governor of Kogi state and also the beginning of your second tenure in spite of all the shameful intrigues that crowned your emergence as the leader at the helm of the affairs of the state.
Your excellency, it is with total dismay that I bring to your attention that over time, since your emergence as the governor of this state, my people of Ankpa Local Government have dwelling in total darkness without electricity; the only thing we shamelessly witness in Ankpa is either the impunity and the bastardization of all the values characterized by the All Progressive Congress (APC) governance.
The State Assembly lawmaker elected to represent the affairs of the Ankpa people is not living to expectation. It’s so saddening that the elected leaders and occupants of political positions are performing below expectations. As for the national assembly leaders, it is unarguably worrisome that after all the vows and campaign promises to Ankpa people on how schools will be equipped to improve the learning standard of condition education, create job opportunities and inculcating entrepreneurship skills alongside stable provision of electricity across the local government, my people are yet to enjoy the dividends of democracy occasioned by good leadership and representation.
With the political scenario in Ankpa local government is that of failed governance on the part of political leaders serving representatives of the people at the helm of affairs.
Sir, what the LGA needs right now is the provision of electricity, water supply, motorable roads and equipped schools to improve learning condition.
To this end, I am appealing to you, Sir, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, lawmakers from Ankpa and other government functionaries to come to the aid of the Ankpa LGA and its people.
Yours Sincerely,
Prince Yakub Yakub
