With due respect sir, I wouldn’t want you to see my open letter as a sign of disrespect, but as an advice.
Sir, it is obvious that you’re among the popular aspirants vying for the Dekina-Bassa House of Representatives seat in the forthcoming 2019 general elections. This is a welcome development.
Sir, you’ve been representing Okura State Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly since the past 3 years but there is no sign of having a personality like you representing us.
Sir, the people of Okura constituency are not happy with you because almost everyone is aware of how you’re being paid hugely for the budget of the constituency but there is nothing on ground to write home about.
You have one of the most beautiful mansions in Anyigba but there is no good road to access your house. I am talking about the old road that links from garage round-about to old Egume road that is always irritating each time it rained.
Sir, it’s no longer news that some percentage of the Paris Club refund money released to Kogi State under Governor Yahaya Bello was given to all members of the Kogi State House of Assembly for the development of their respective constituencies.
Sir, we don’t have to wait for the State Governor of Local Government Chairman to carry out some petty infrastructural development in our constituency after all you have access to for projects.
Sir, look at some poor infrastructures in Kogi State University, you can at least work on some projects that would put a smile on the faces of thousands of students. At least, you can tar the 3km road that starts from Inikpi girls hostel down to the boys hostel.
Sir, you can’t continue to hide under the same umbrella with Governor Yahaya Bello and keep watching him being blamed for some petty projects you’re suppose to do for your people, aside the fact that you’re being paid for several of those projects.
Sir, it is never too late to start up some petty road networks and execute others projects.
Sir, we are not talking of you coming to tell us you drilled some bore holes, built some primary schools, bla bla bla. Those are not the only development we want because our constituency is far much more advanced for this kind of development.
Sir, I know you already know that an active Dekina-Bassa indigene is a natural elite that deals with facts and believe in physical action, not coming to sing the same lyrics we have been hearing for years.
Sir, you don’t have to team up some youths and give them clothes as well as petty bribe in order to campaign for you because its no longer going to be the way it used to be in the past. We are no longer in the era of politics of bribery, our people now believe in facts.
Sir, you’re leading people with over three million permanent voters cards (PVCs), please try and work on some projects before the 2019 general elections in order to win the heart of your people.
