Onu of Igala Ganaja Contestant, Chief Isah Obele Pays Homage to Acting Onu Igala, Seeks Royal Blessing

A frontline contestant for the vacant stool of Onu Igala of Ganaja, in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State, Chief Isah Obele has promised to build on the legacies of the late Onu Igala of Ganaja Community.

Chief Obele made the promise when he paid homage to the acting Onu Igala of Ganaja, Prince Hassan Ahmodu, to seek royal blessing to contest the vacant stool.

Cheif Obele said if he wins the position he would ensure the unity of not just the Igala people but every other tribe that lives in Ganaja Village for the speedy development of the area.

He noted that the peace, unity and growth of Ganaja Village can not be overemphasized, hence the need tor someone of his pedigree to bring his wealth of experience to bear in championing the cause.

The Onu Igala hopeful reflected on his long standing relationship with the Late Onu and promised to continue from were he stopped.

Responding to the visit , the acting Onu Igala Ganaja, Prince Hassan Ahmodu, son of the Late Onu, welcomed Chief Obele and thanked him for identifying with the family.

Prince Ahmodu who promised to support any contestant that has the people’s welfare at heart stressed that Chief Obele had all the qualities it takes, even though leaders were chosen by God.

In a remark, a Community Leader, Chief Ogwu Atabor thanked Chief Obele for his steadfastness and called on all contestants for the vacant stool to see themselves as brothers.
