9th August, 2021 was a significant day in Kogi Central as the people were in joyous mood celebrating the kind gesture expended to a needy.
The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward David Onoja, in commemoration of his birthday celebration, donated a two bedroom fully furnished apartment to the mother of late Dr Victor Idowu.
Dr Victor Idowu Ahmed who was a medical professional is an indigene of Kogi State from Okehi Local Government of Kogi Central. In an active service to his country, Dr. Victor was the first doctor to fall to Lassa fever in 2018.

His biggest dream was to build a house for his mother. Even after his demise, H.E, Edward Onoja fulfilled it.
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja, who was ably represented by the State Commissioner of health, Hon. Saka Haruna and other state officials, were received at the palace of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland before the official handing over of documents and presentation of the house to the mother of late Dr Victor Idowu Ahmed was done at Egge-Iruvochinomi community.
In furtherance, Mr Matthew James Avabee (Mr Spreading) led the CEDO Medical Team to Specialist Hospital Obangede, General Hospital Okene, Okengwe Cottage Hospital, Adavi Clinic, Ogori Mangogo Hospital and amongst other hospitals where cash and sanitary material were distributed to patients.
Also, a get-together dinner was organised for GYB/CEDO supporters by Mr Mathew Spreading at Inoziomi in Adavi Local Government to celebrate the impactful live of Chief Edward David Onoja.
He described Dr. Onoja as a God-sent and trusted friend of Governor Yahaya Bello who deserved all the praises showered on him during his birthday by the good people of kogi central and Kogi at large.
Also, the group Lead by Patriot Matthew James Avabee, in the company of Comrade A.A. Okene, Engr Ismaila Adeiza Israel and others ended the celebration with courtesy visits to HRH Adai Samuel Onimisi (the Obobanyi Of Ihima), HRH Ahmed Suleiman (the Ohi Of Ede Ohimonoko Agada), HRH Mr Simon Salami Owuda (the Onomu of Ohiaga Clan, Eika Ohizenyi) and HRH Mall. Ibrahim Ohida (the Taru Okpokitipo of Esusu Clan of Ebiraland).
In response, the traditional leaders appreciated Onoja’s kind gestures and described him as a worthy leader. They as well thanked His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for bringing a leader like CEDO who is so visionary and practical into his team, while also praying for success for GYB in all his political endeavours even as he prepare to take on the national task ahead.
