Omala Legislator Visits Family of Murdered Constituent, Salome, Calls for Justice

The member representing Omala Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Umar Yahaya has visited the family of Salome Ele Adaidu, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who was brutally murdered. Salome, an indigene of Ogodu in Omala LGA, was reportedly killed and beheaded in New Karshi, Nasarawa State, in a case that has shocked the nation.

During the visit, the legislator expressed profound grief and extended his condolences to the bereaved family. He assured them of his commitment to supporting their quest for justice and pledged to ensure the matter receives the attention it deserves.

Hon. Yahaya while at the residence of the Adaidus conveyed the message of Kogi State government . He reassured the family that the state government is working to ensure that the perpetrator faces the full weight of the law.

The suspect in the case, Timilehin Ajayi, has been arraigned in a Nasarawa State High Court on charges of culpable homicide. Reports indicate that he confessed to the crime and stood his ground that he has no regrets for his barbaric action. The case is being closely monitored by both Kogi and Nasarawa State authorities to ensure a thorough investigation and prosecution.

The lawmaker prayed for the soul of the deceased and also prayed God to grant the family rhe fortitude to bear the loss.
