The All Progressive Congress (APC) women leader in Omala local government area of Kogi State, Hajia Ageji Omale has described the rumor going round that she has decamped from APC to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as unfounded and baseless.

She made this declaration when she received executives of ‘GYB/Aboh Omala New Direction Support Team’ at her residence in Abejukolo.

“The whole story about my leaving APC to PDP is all intended to malign and dent my image, neither do I endorse any PDP candidate in my house.

“The Administrator of the Omala LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh has displayed all genuine leadership qualities expected of a leader in the area. The Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, in his divine mandate, has so far exhibited rare qualities worthy of emulation and President Muhammadu Buhari is sincerely and diligently crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s in the best direction. If all the leaders of our great party, APC, at various levels are such wonderful performers, what then is my reason to quit the ruling party that has the capability to rule in the nearest future?

“I was taken aback when I heard how a stop-over visit to my house has suddenly turned to my decamping to PDP and endorsing a PDP candidate. For the record, I never defected to PDP, neither do I endorse any PDP candidate. My candidate is Hon. Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh. Myself, my family and all my supporters still remain staunch members of APC”, she affirmed.

The President of GYB/Aboh Omala New Direction Support Team, Hon. Isaiah Mathias, while appreciating the party women leader for maintaining a decent stand, added that their visit is part of the core objectives of the group which is to mediate between party supporters and ensure harmonious relationships geared towards seeing the party clinching all elective positions in future elections, particularly the return of Governor Bello and Hon. Aboh and bringing about good governance.

In his contribution, the GYB Local Government Liaison Officer for Omala, Comrade Edibo Mark Ameh said, “I was in the picture of how we all started the party before it metamorphose into the mega party, APC today. Hajia is never known for double standard. Her political experience knows no bound. We enjoy working with her and we are glad she has dispelled the rumour of her defection”.

All the executive members who spoke during the visit urged the general public to dismiss the rumour and called for their continuous support for Governor Bello and Hon. Aboh.

They expressed worries how some people will indulge in the habit of trading in lies and other unprofitable ventures in the name of politics.
