At a colourful homecoming ceremony held in honour of the newly appointed Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Mr. Samuel Olumode, at Olonijola Hall in Kabba, Kogi State, Bashorun M.D. Eseyin expressed strong confidence in Olumode’s ability to make Nigeria proud. The event attracted dignitaries, community leaders, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievement.
Eseyin, who is the Secretary General of the Legends Club of Okun Land, appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding Olumode worthy of such a critical national assignment. Speaking on behalf of the Club, he lauded the President’s decision, describing Olumode as a competent, disciplined, and deserving leader whose appointment reflects merit and capacity.
He emphasized that the Okun people are known for their diligence, integrity, and commitment to excellence, expressing confidence that Olumode would bring these qualities to bear in his new role. According to him, the appointment is not only a source of pride to Okun Land but also a call to greater service and responsibility.

Eseyin further charged Olumode to justify the confidence reposed in him by ensuring professionalism, efficiency, and innovation in the Federal Fire Service. He urged him to work tirelessly towards strengthening the institution and enhancing safety standards across the country.
In his remarks, he also reaffirmed the support of the Legends Club of Okun Land, noting that the Club stands firmly behind Olumode as he takes on the responsibility of leading the Federal Fire Service at this critical time.
Mr. Olumode Adeyemi, who also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Legends Club of Okun Land, was recently elevated to the position of Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career.
