A frontline Ijumu stakeholder and political figure, Ogbeni Olumide Faleke, has congratulated the Elulu of Mopa, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, on his one year anniversary on the throne.

Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, who is also the chairman of the Mopa Traditional Council, marked the milestone in grand style. The celebration attracted the presence of the Paramount Ruler of the Yoruba Kingdom, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and renowned Fuji musician, K1 De Ultimate. The event also hosted other traditional rulers from across Kogi State, as well as political leaders and stakeholders from various parts of the state.

In his congratulatory message, Olumide Faleke hailed Oba Ibeun for his visionary leadership, which he noted has brought accelerated development to the entire Mopa community.

HRM Oba Ibeun, who shared some of his vision for Mopa Kingdom with us before ascending the throne, has done excellently well to see the actualization of some of the dreams in less than a year on the throne. Kabiesi is setting yet a new pace and landscape for traditional institutions guided by vision, passion, and commitment.

He further expressed admiration for Oba Ibeun’s efforts in reconnecting the people of Mopa with their cultural heritage, noting that the presence of the Ooni of Ife at the occasion was a strong affirmation that Mopa, Yagba, and indeed the entire Okun land are integral parts of the Yoruba nation.

Faleke prayed for continued wisdom and divine guidance for the Elulu of Mopa. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting traditional institutions that promote peace, unity, and development in Okunland and Kogi State at large.
