Olujumu Greets Muslims on Eid el Kabir

The Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom and Chairman Ijumu local government area traditional council, HRM Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni has felicitated with Muslims in the country on the Eid el Kabir festival.

Oba Ayeni, in a congratulatory message, emphasized the need for Nigerians to live a sacrificial life for the progress and peace of the country. 

The Ijumu paramount ruler enjoined Muslims to emulate the good virtues of Prophet Muhammad by exhibiting love, selflessness and obedience to the commandments of Allah. 

He told them to use the auspicious occasion to pray for an end to the security challenges bedevilling the country as well as the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected every sector of the nation’s economy. 

Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello on the Eid celebration and prayed that the state prosper under his pragmatic leadership. 

He felicitated with the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Salami Ozigi Deedat and other members of the State Executive Council, members of the State House of Assembly and prayed God to grant them good health and wisdom in the years ahead.

The Ijumu monarch greeted the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim and the Ohimege-Igu of Koton Karfe, Alhaji Abdulrazak Isah-Koto on this Sallah celebration. Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni in the same vein congratulated the SSA Security in Ijumu, Hon. Taofiq Isa, Ijumu Traditional, HRH Oba Rabiu Oladimaji Sule, the Ologidi of Ogidiland and Obaro of Iyamoye, HRH Oba Ibrahim Momoh,  and all Muslims in Ijumu on the Sallah celebration.

He wished them a successful and fruitful festival and emphasised the need for moderate celebration and strict adherence to health protocols due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
