The Okun Development Association (ODA) has congratulated Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan (SAN), on his appointment as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Dayo Thomas, on Friday, the association said Professor Amupitan’s is an affirmation of his exceptional academic credentials, unassailable integrity, and dedication to democratic principles.
The ODA President General, Amb Akenson Rotimi recalled that, among his numerous engagements, Prof Amupitan had selflessly served in the eminent persons committee for the creation of Okun state.
“We, therefore, wish to express appreciation to Prof Amupitan for his dedication to the interest of his homeland,” the statement read.
The ODA expressed deep gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of yet another Okun compatriot, in the critical sectors of his government.
