The Okun area traditional council has adopted a ceremonial traditional attire that will make the Okun nation unique and united.
Other ethnic nationalities in Kogi state, Igalas and Ebira, have their unique attires that makes it easy to identify with themselves anywhere they are.
The adopted Okun attire is a creative effort of Mrs Aiyelabowo Omoleye Adebanji, the Chief Executive Officer of Labacash Productions. The new Okun attire comes in four colours which represents the blending of the different old Okun attires. The four colours are blue, white, green and brown.
Meanwhile, the traditional councils in the five local governments that make up Okunland have unanimously conferred the title of ‘Yeye Oge of Okunland’ on Mrs Aiyelabowo. Her coronation will come up very soon.
