Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial aspirant, Engr. Adomu Muhammad Etudaiye, has returned to the political stage with a renewed sense of mission and a focus on education, human capital development, and community unity.

Etudaiye, who contested for the PDP senatorial ticket in 2023 but was unsuccessful, first gained prominence in 2022 when he paid WAEC fees for over 1,000 indigent students across Ebiraland. The gesture, which came at a time when many families were struggling to fund their children’s education, earned him respect and recognition across political and social divides.

On August 17, 2025, his comeback formally began with the inauguration of Ward Steering Committees as part of his new political consultations. The event was well attended by PDP leaders, religious figures, educationists, and youth groups. Notable attendees included Alh. Abubakar Yahaya Karaku, Hon. Abdulraham Badams, and Hon. Usman Bolingo, among others who pledged support for his renewed ambition.

Speaking at the gathering, Engr. Etudaiye expressed gratitude for the massive turnout, noting that even individuals outside the PDP attended. According to him, this was a clear demonstration that “the people are yearning for unity, competence, and genuine service, not self-interest.”

He further emphasized that leadership should be a force for unity, especially in times of grief, lamenting that politics in today’s Nigeria often fails to provide that bond. His proposed Ward Steering Committees, he explained, will serve as structures for consultation, feedback, grievance resolution, and healthcare engagement—platforms designed to strengthen the link between leaders and the grassroots.

Highlighting his vision, Etudaiye stressed that his success in life was made possible through education and discipline, which is why he is determined to give back to society in those key areas.

“Without education, proper training, and cultural values, I would not be where I am today. That is why I am committed to addressing gaps in education, human development, and health,” he declared.

The Ebira-born politician has positioned himself as a unifying figure, with his supporters branding his comeback not as a personal pursuit, but as a mission to restore hope, equity, and capacity-driven leadership in Kogi Central.
