Responding to the assassination of an Igbo trader in his domain, the Administrator of Okene Local Government Area, Abdulrazaq Muhammad has sympathised with the family of the deceased, condemning criminal activities in the local government.
Recall that Anabogu Chigozie, a trader at the Okene Market was assassinated on Sunday evening at his residence by unknown gunmen.
Abedi Pele, the brother to the 39 year old Chigozie confirmed the assassination to have taken place at about 8:40pm
Addressing leaders of the Igbo community at the Council Secretariat, the Administrator pleaded with them to allow security agencies do their job.
While promising to bring the perpetrators of the crime to book, he assured that government had always prioritized the security of lives and properties.
