An appeal has gone to the Kogi state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to zone the Kogi Central senatorial ticket to Okehi area in 2019.
The appeal came from Mujahid Aliyu Abubakar Adeiza.
Aliyu said Okehi area has not produced a senator since the beginning of democracy in spite of its contribution to the socio-economoic development of the state.
Lamenting the fate of the Okehi zone, he said it is on record that Okehi gave the current APC administration the second largest vote in the last general election.
He pledged to work with other interest groups to end what he described as the marginalisation of the area. He said he will work assiduously with other groups within and outside Okehi zone to liberate the district by making an indigene a senator come 2019.
