Hon. Roseline Eneji Monday, the wife of Okehi LGA chairman, has launched the Renewed Hope Initiative program in Okehi LGA, aiming to empower women and children. The event, held in Oboroke ward in Okehi LGA was attended by dignitaries including the representative of the wife of the Governor, Hajiya Sefinat Ahmed Usman Ododo, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development and other notable figures.
The program, which is part of Mrs. Roseline Amoka Monday’s efforts to support the vulnerable population in Okehi LGA, distributed various commodities to the beneficiaries. These commodities included wrappers, business grants, food palliatives, and writing materials for students.
According to Mrs. Roseline Amoka Monday, the initiative is inspired by the good work of Her Excellency, Hajiya Sefinat Ahmed Usman Ododo, and aims to support women and children in Okehi LGA. She noted that the program is designed to provide succor to the vulnerable population, especially women and children, who are often the most affected by poverty and lack.
The event was well attended by dignitaries from across the state, including the representative of the wife of the Governor, Hajiya Sefinat Ahmed Usman Ododo, who was represented by her Personal Assistant, Hon. Idris Oparaji. Other notable figures in attendance included the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Fatimah Momoh, the Chairman of the Sports Commission, Hon. Isah Dolly, Kogi state College of Nursing Obangede, Mr James and the Ohi of Ihima, among others.
In her remarks, the representative of the wife of the Governor commended Mrs. Roseline Amoka Monday for her initiative, describing her as “my daughter”. She noted that Mrs. Roseline Amoka Monday’s efforts are a testament to her commitment to supporting the vulnerable population in Okehi LGA.
Other personalities who attended the program also appreciated Mrs. Roseline Amoka Monday for her beautiful gestures, which they believe will go a long way in cushioning the sufferings of the vulnerable population.
The Renewed Hope Initiative program is expected to have a significant impact on the lives of women and children in Okehi LGA, providing them with the support and resources they need to thrive.
