The national coordinator of Nigeria Christian Youths Political Platform (NICHYPP), Matthew James Avabee has resigned his position to contest for political office in Kogi state.
The organization is the biggest Christian youths political organization in the nation having 37 States coordinators across the nation and higher institutions.
In a letter through the National Publicity Secretary, Pastor Wisdom Isaac, on Friday, Avabee said he reliquished his position as national coordinator in order to face his political contest as 2019 general elections draw closer.

Dear Godly Politicians,
I am writing to let you know that I have to resign my much loved position as the national coordinator of Nigeria Christian Youths Political Platform (NICHYPP) to pursue and have much time to face my political contest in Kogi state as I don’t intend to suffer the management role of the organization or compromise the standard of NICHYPP while playing the game of politics ahead of 2019 general election.
My final date of work as the coordinator of this very organization will be September 8 2018.
I want to let you know that I am appreciative of all that this organization has done for me in the last two years. I have enjoyed being part of this winning team to stabilize Nigeria Christian youths across the nation, organized several events to strengthen our members and preparing them toward leadership engagement in the future. We gained both government and international organization attention by constantly airing our voice in most issues that affect Christendom in our country, Nigeria.
We appreciate some states government that appoint many of our members into their cabinet after much agitation for Christian all inclusive in the political leadership of the nation and we are able to influenced jobs to some of our members at a particular period of time.
