The Onu of Ojoku district in Ankpa local government area of Kogi state, Alhaji Mohammed Ogbe has promised to support Ojoku Sons and Daughters Connect (OSDC) morally and financially.
Alhaji Ogbe made the promise when he hosted association under the district who paid him a visit at his palace at Okaba, yesterday.
The Onu of Ojoku, who appreciated the association for knowing the usefulness of elders, and also respecting the tradition by paying homage to the palace, said his joy knows no bound seeing the youth of Ojoku district forming an outstanding group and also engendering peace and love between the youth in the land.
“I pledge my maximum support for this association and I will also make sure to stand by it whenever the need arises, to support both in cash and kind,” he said.
He urged Ojoku youths to be a good ambassadors of the district by promoting peace and unity because without this, development cannot thrive in the society.
The chairman of the association, Assistant Superintendent of Fire, Muhammed Doga, appreciated the paramount ruler for receiving the group despite his tight schedule.
He said OSDC is an association formed to foster love, peace and unity in the district.
The chairman said OSDC has keyed Into its corporate social responsibility by purchasing of JAMB form for over 10 students across the ward, purchasing of working tools and sewing machine for over 5 members, purchasing of writing materials to students and also donation of food items to some vulnerable persons within the district.
He said the association is looking forward to doing more because “we rise by lifting others.”
