Senator Atai Aidoko Ali (PDP, Kogi East) has been commended for his focus on provision of social infrastructures to the people and communities in his constituency.
In a statement jointly signed by the secretary and chairman of the Ojede Junction Development Association, Omika Tahiru and Ibrahim Alfa respectively, the community expressed support for the political aspirations of the Senator.
The association thanked Aidoko for the provision of borehole to Ojede Junction community, in the heart of Ankpa town.
The body stated the perennial water shortage been witnessed by the people of the community coupled with shylock commercial drivers, who inspite of dispensing river water for public consumption engaged in astronomical price increase to the detriment of members of the community, saying the challenge is now following the gesture of the ranking Senator.
“We have engaged in solemn prayers to keep the senator in safe hands not minding the strong political opposition within and outside the PDP, praying for more dividends of democracy,” the statement read.
They however appealed to the senator to assist in the routine maintenance of the borehole through constant supervision owing to heavy utilisation of the facility, particularly the sumour, stating that as a people, their action is that of Oliver twist that will not be tired to continue to seek for more attention from the senator.
The neighbouring communities also throw their weight behind the people of Ojede junction to ensure the return of the senator to the upper house in 2019 through massive support.
