Ohi Stool: Okene Council Chairman Meet Kingmakers, Congratulate New Regent

Okene Local Government Chairman, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad on Wednesday receive in audience Okene local government king makers for the selection of the Ohi of Okene/Okengwe kingdom.

The Ohi kingmakers were in his office to appreciate the chairman for his supports and encouragement as the kingmakers began their statutory responsibility of selecting a credible and qualified candidate to fill the vacant stool of Ohi as required by law.

They also presented to the council chairman, a member of the kingmakers, Alh. Ige Obaro as the newly elected regent or acting Ohi of Okene/Okengwe for a period of three months pending the screening and selection of a substantive Ohi.

In a remark, the chairman of Okene local government, Hon. Abdulrazaq thanked the kingmakers and assured them of his continue support to carry out their function in line with the gazetted document guiding the selection and appointment of Ohi by the state government.

He congratulate the new regent and urged him to use the period to contribute to peace and development of the kingdom.
