Ohere, POHAN Celebrates Kogi Finance Commissioner

Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Planning, Asiwaju Idris Asiru, has been described as an exemplary public servant.

In a statement issued by the national president of Public Office Holders Association of Nigeria (POHAN), Bashorun MD Eseyin, to felicitate with Asiru on his birthday, the public service body noted that the Kogi Finance Commissioner’s records shows immense compliance to ethical and global public office holders standards.

He said Asiru’s versatility and intelligence is a gift to Kogi state and his principal, Governor Yahaya Bello, adding that with him transparency and accountability has been made mandatory in the state.

Also, the state Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr Abubakar Ohere, described Asiru as a worthy leader.

In a congratulatory message he personally signed, the Ohere recalled Asiru’s valuable contributions since he was appointed by the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.

He said, “Asiru has been a worthy ally in the onerous task of building the Kogi State of our dream, particularly since his emergence as the commissioner for finance.

“Honourable Asiru Asiwaju Idris is a man of honour, very courageous and dedicated to his work. I have known him for many years now, and in all the years we have been together, he has exhibited a high level of patriotism. 

“Hon. Asiru has passion for good governance, and at every given opportunity, he has proven himself to be one of the best Commissioners around. No wonder he was unequivocally chosen to lead.

“I know together, we will provide good leadership, which will take Kogi State to enviable heights in the nearest future. On this day of your birthday, I wish you Allah’s continuous protection and blessings. I also wish you many more years in good health,” Engr. Ohere said.
