Ogori – Magongo People Urged To Sustain Support for Wada

The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi state Governor on Lands, Building and Urban Development  Engr. Oladipo Makakese Bayode has urged the people of Ogori-Magongo to build support around the Peoples’ Democratic Party leader and Governor of Kogi state, Captain Idris Wada.

Engr. Bayode, who is also the Director General of  “Support Wada Again Movement” gave this charge while addressing the Ogori-Magongo Local Government chapter of “Support Wada Again Movement” on the proposed 2015 Budget of stability of the state submitted to the House of Assembly and the expectations of the people of the state in the new year. He decried that the paste of development of any state is determined by the resources available to it but assured the people that Governor Wada is committed to the transformation of all sectors of the state despite the dwindling allocation to the state.

He also said efforts are being made to improve on the internally generated revenue and also developed other possible areas particularly the mineral resources and education sub sector.

He insisted that the continuous loyalty of the people to the present administration is germane to the continuous development of the area, describing Governor Wada as God sent  to the oppressed and minorities.

Engr. Bayode registered his appreciation to Kogi state governor for the completion of the rehabilitation work on the Ageva-Ogori road; Upgrade of the Basic Health Centre Magongo to a Cottage Hospital; Construction and provision of facilities at the MDG clinic Ogori just to mention a few. He stated that the recognition of sons and daughters of the area  for appointments into positions in the state is unprecedented.

He further appeal to the state to consider the conversion former Ogori-Magongo Teachers College to a Basic School or a campus of the Kogi state University and the opening up of Ogori –Ososo road and the Magongo –Imoga-Okegwen roads.
