Ogori Community Mourns Engr Gabriel Omolegbe’s Passage

The people of Ogori community in Ogori-Magongo local government of Kogi state have expressed sadness over the demise of one of their illustrious son, Engr. Gabriel Omolegbe.

A statement issued by Elegbe Amos, National Public Relations Officer, Ogori Descendants Union (ODU) on Tuesday, confirmed Engr. Omologbe’s passage.

The Late Engr. Omolegbe, a former General Manager, Kwara State Water Corporation, died after a brief illness.

“The National President, Exco and the entire Ogori Descendants Union commiserate with the family of the Omolegbe’s on the demise of the patriarch of the family, Engr. Gabriel Omolegbe.

“Engr. Gabriel Omolegbe was one time President of ODU. During his tenure, the community witnessed a lot of developmental progress one of which was the creation of our Local government Area.

“Our hearts goes out to the immediate family he left behind. May the Almighty continue to protect everyone of you. This loss is not for you alone but to the entire Ogori community, Ogori-Magongo LGA and Kogi state at large. Tigure Ededa Oboro!!!,” he said.

Engr Omolegbe, at creation of Kogi State, served as General Manager, Kogi State Water Corporation and retired as Permanent Secretary in the state civil service.
