A delegation of stakeholders from Ogodu district, led by HRH Chief Adejo Salifu, the Acting Onu Omaba of Ogodu, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Umar Yahaya (Connect), member representing Omala constituency in the State House of Assembly.

The purpose of the visit, according to the royal father, was to express gratitude for the lawmaker’s significant development initiatives in Ogodu zone. “The lawmaker has done tremendously well for Ogodu district, and we have come to show our appreciation. In the history of this local government, no elected politically office holder has done such a weighty project like this for our people,” Chief Salifu said.

Other speakers at the event also expressed appreciation for the lawmaker’s contributions to the community and offered prayers for his continued success and political advancement.

In his response, Hon. Yahaya thanked the delegation for their visit and support. “What prompted me to site the hospital project in Ogodu was beyond politics. I have to give back to society in whatever capacity I find myself,” he stated.

The lawmaker acknowledged the overwhelming support he received from all eleven wards in Omala Local Government, especially from Ogodu zone, during his election and promised that his development initiatives would eventually reach all zones in the local government.

A highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Excellence for stewardship and humanitarian service to Hon. Yahaya by the Ogodu Community Development Association (OCDA).
