The Ogidi Development Union, representing the collective interests of Ogidi Kingdom, has solemnly congratulated Hon. Ibrahim Haruna on his well-deserved election as the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government.
In a statement made available to the press, the President of the apex sociocultural and political group of Ogidi, Eniolorunda Ralph Kayode, stated that Hon. Haruna’s resounding victory in Saturday council election reflected Ogidi community’s resolute trust in his visionary leadership and commitment to progress, as well as the promotion of social, political, and traditional values of the community.
“We applaud your tireless efforts, allegiance, and unshakeable passion for our community’s advancement. We have never doubted your zeal for Ogidi’s unity and progress.
“As you assume this noble position, we offer these words of wisdom and encouragement. As a bona fide son of the soil, we expect you to unite our people through inclusive governance, bridging gaps and coordinating harmony within the three and a half wards of Ogidi and the 15 wards of Ijumu Local Government.
“Our expectation is that you will mentor comprehensive development benefiting all segments of Ogidi Kingdom. We believe you will empower our youth and vulnerable populations through education, skills training, and economic opportunities. Endeavor to celebrate and preserve Ogidi’s rich cultural heritage, promoting our values and traditions.
“As a son of Ogidi, your success is our success, and your leadership is a guiding light of trust for our community’s brighter future. May your tenure symbolize unprecedented growth and infrastructural development, peaceful coexistence, social harmony, prosperity, and economic empowerment for all, with enhanced education and healthcare services,” the statement read.
In the same vein, ODU congratulated Hon. Monday Lawal, Hon. Ayodele Dorcas And Hon. Olayinka Deji on their emergence as the councilors representing Igbolayere/Ilaere, Okoro/Igah and Ileteju/Origa. May their tenure usher in unprecedented development to Ogidi Kingdom.
