Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Dr. Bolufemi Olarotimi, has described the attack on the people of Oganenigu community in Dekina local government of Kogi state as barbaric, callous, uncultured and unacceptable.
He urged security agencies to take immediate action and bring the perpetrators to book.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Monday, Dr. Bolufemi pleaded with the traditional rulers and all the community members to always stay at alert, and offer assistance to security agencies towards bringing an end to such ugly situation.
He called for massive humanitarian support for persons displaced from their communities as a result of the attacks.
Dr Bolufemi Olarotimi also appealed to all stakeholders in Kogi state never to take the issue with levity, as an injury to one is injury to all.
He also urged the State Government to, as a matter of urgency, deploy military personnel to the affected communities and its environs.
He pledged his unalloyed support to partake in any possible way to making sure the perpetrators are brought to book, and also promised not to spare any effort in providing succour to the communities affected.
