Oganenigwu Community in Dekina LGA Applauds Prince Olatunji Olusoji for Approval of Three Boreholes

The Director General of the Super Eagles Legends Nationwide Campaign Organization for Tinubu 2023 and Continuity 2027, Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi, and the people of Oganenigwu Ward have commended Prince (Dr) Olatunji Olusoji, Chairman/CEO of PROOF Foundation, Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom and Bashorun Akinjagula of Ogidi Kingdom, for his immediate intervention to tackle water scarcity in Oganenigwu Ward, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Dr. Ocholi, a native of Oganenigwu Ward, spoke to newsmen on Tuesday, announcing that Prince Olatunji has approved the drilling of three boreholes for the ward, with work starting right away on the first borehole at Odolu-Efu Village.

He said the philanthropist personally took up the responsibility after identifying the severe water challenge during an inspection tour of the ongoing 11.5km Iyale–Odolu-Efu–Oganenigwu Road project by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

He noted that Gov. Ododo’s historic inspection and courtesy visit to Oganenigwu ward was characterised with several success stories, recalling how thousands of his supporters gave the Governor a heroic reception in his Odolu-Efu home town..

Dr. Ocholi described Prince Olatunji as a detribalised Nigerian and a God-sent philanthropist whose contributions to nation-building remain unprecedented. He praised his humility, generosity, accessibility, and deep commitment to human capital development, infrastructure support, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and overall community upliftment across Nigeria.

He highlighted Prince Olatunji’s consistent interventions in rural areas, his high respect for traditional institutions, his promotion of peace and unity, and his unique ability to bridge gaps between government and the grassroots, calling him a special breed and a true blessing to Kogi State and the nation.

Following the announcement and the immediate start of borehole work, Prince Olatunji Olusoji has received widespread commendation from traditional rulers, politicians, religious leaders, youths, and women across Igala Kingdom for bringing much-needed succour to the people. The boreholes are expected to deliver reliable clean water to hundreds of households, significantly easing the daily hardship faced by residents, especially women and children who often trek long distances to fetch water from streams.

Dr. Ocholi reaffirmed his strong belief that Prince Olatunji’s developmental qualities and selfless service continue to stand out across the length and breadth of Nigeria, urging more leaders and well-meaning individuals to emulate his example of impactful, people-centered philanthropy.

Dr. Ocholi used the opportunity to once again commend Gov. Ododo for his numerous developmental strides across Kogi State with particular mention of the construction of the Oganenigwu road, provision medical facility for Odolu-Efu community, appointment and deployment of teachers to the area, as well as construction of classroom blocks for Odolu Efu, provision of other infrastructural support to numerous communities across Kogi State and above all tackling of security challenges in the state.
