The Caretaker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Hassan Sani Atawodi has charged the security agents in the Local Government to deal with any form of criminal acts in the area without fear or favour.
Hon Hassan who gave the charge in his office at Ugwolawo during peace and security meeting, warned all the youths in Ofu Local Government Area to desist from any activity they know is capable of landing them in trouble, noting that his administration has zero tolerance for thuggery, kidnapping and criminality.
The Chairman who said his team is resolute in criminal prevention in the area, call on all the stake holders in the land to partner with him for the actualization of this common goal which will bring peace and harmony to our communities,
In his remarks, the Ejeh Ofu and the Chairman, Ofu Traditional Council, HRH Alhaji Dr Akwu Obaje commended the Security Operatives in Ofu Local Government Area for their commitment to fighting security challenges in the land, adding that the efforts of this administration in making sure Ofu is safe will yield positive results.
In his vote of thanks, the Senior Special Advisers to the Chairman on Security Matters, Deacon James Odekina, said that the issue of thuggery and criminality will soon become the things of past, noting that the administration of Hon. Hassan Atawodi is capable of subduing any security challenges in Ofu Local Government Area.
