The caretaker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Hassan Sani Atawodi, has called on the people of Ofu Local Government Area to join hands with his administration to move the Local Government to the next level of development and tranquility.
The Chairman who made the call during the inauguration of the newly appointed Secretary to Ofu Local Government and other members of the Care taker Committee to the Local Government, promised that his administration will run an open door policy, saying that he will carry everybody along no matter the differences.
Hon Atawodi charged the people of Ofu Local Government Area to desist from any action they know can land them in trouble adding that every one should embrace peace ,so that the people of Ofu can sleep with their two eyes closed.
In his acceptance speech, the SLG ,Hon Ahmed Labaran, on behalf of other appointees expressed his heart felt gratitude to Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State for deeming it feet to appoint them to be part of this administration, he promised their unalloyed cooperation and support to the Care taker Chairman of the Local Government adding that they will put in their best for the success of this administration.
In a separate remarks, the DLG, of Ofu Local Government Council, Dcnss Rachael Ukwo John, who was ably represented by the Education Secretary, Ofu LGEA, Hon Ochigbo Godday and the Ejeh Ofu, HRH Alhaji Dr Akwu Obaje who was also represented by Comrade Yahaya Adama, community leader Ejule, congratulated the new appointees for their well deserved appointment, saying that success is written on their faces, adding that with their support and cooperation, Ofu Local Government will be the best in the comity of LGAs.
In his vote thanks, the NULGE Chairman, Elder James Degeli thanked the Care taker Chairman, Hon. Hassan Sani Atawodi for his loving disposition towards the staff of the Local Government.
He called on the Chairman to use his good office and connections to attend to the members of the staff who are yet to have names on the pay roll.

1.Hon.Labran Ahmed – (SLG) Secretary to the Local Govt.
2.Hon.Musa Enebi – Supervisor for Works.
3.Hon.Joseph Idoko – Supervisor for Agric.
4.Hon.Hashimi Alidu Tijani – Supervisor for Budget and Planning.
5.Hon.Omagbagwu Berikisu – Supervisor for Education.
6.Hon.Omede Sani – Supervisor for Primary Health Care.
The Senior Special Advisers to the Care taker Chairman are
1.Hon.Martins Idajili – Chief of Staff.
2.DSP James Odekina(rtd) – SSA Security.
3.Hon.Siaka Alih – SSA Special Duties.
