The Caretaker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Muhammed Musa Lawal has enjoined the people of Ofu Local Government Area to pray for the success of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in other to bring more relief to the People of Kogi State.
Hon Lawal made the pronouncement at the Local Government Secretariat, Ugwolawo during the flag off ceremony of the food relief, supplied to Ofu Local Government Area by the state ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development
The Caretaker Chairman who commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his transparency in Governance, charged all the ward Chairmen and polling unit leaders to also be transparent in the distribution of the food items given to their wards and Units respectively, adding that he will conduct the supervision of the distribution of the palliative himself.
In a press release signed by Omede Idoko Samuel, Principal Information Officer, Ofu Local Government Council, the chairman urged the people of Ofu Local Government Area to be more hopeful, adding that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is a people oriented Government.
Earlier, the representative of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Mr Attah Friday applauded the Caretaker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, for his cooperation, saying that the State government has brought the palliative for the purpose of cushion the effect of the hardship on the people.
Mr Attah said that the food items are not meant for the few wealthy people in the Local Government, he added that the palliative is meant for the generality of the people of Ofu Local Government Area.
In a remark, the APC Chairman, Ofu Local Government Area, Hon Yahaya Sagari, assured the Caretaker Chairman that he and his ward Chairmen down to the polling unt level will ensure that the palliatives go down to the expected people. He added that the people of Ofu Local Government Area will continue to support the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to succeed.
