The Caretaker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Muhammed Musa Lawal, has appointed five senior special assistants with a charge to be answerable to the people in their constituencies and shun diversions of palliatives meant for the economic disadvantaged.
Hon Lawal also charged the appointees to be committed to their duties and work together with him to deliver to the People whatever belongs to the People irrespective of their affiliations.
The five Senior Special Assistants are Abu Adama, SSA Media; Sumaila Abdullahi, SSA Political; Okwoli Usman Friday, SSA on Sports; Acho Adukwu, SSA SPecial Duties and Muhammed Zainab, SSA WOmen Affairs.
The caretaker chairman noted that political power belongs to the people, and if anyone wants to last in political space, the person must be committed to the people by giving them the dividends of democracy.
Earlier, the DLG, Ofu Local Government Council, Deaconess Rachael Rachael Ukwo advised that any leader that want to succeed in power must not listen to gossips and backbiting, and a good leader must give the opportunity of fair hearing to everyone before acting on any report from any quarter.

Hon Sumalia Abdullai, SSA Political, on behalf of other appointees, thanked the Caretaker Chairman for the confidence repose on them by appointing them to be part of his administration, vowing that they would not disappoint him, as they would contribute their quota for the success of this administration and for the development of the entire local government.
In his vote of thanks, the Supervisor for Works and Housing, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Musa Enebi said without unity two people can not walk and work together, urging all the political families in Ofu Local Government Area to unite themselves for the growth and development of Ofu Local Government.
