The House of Assembly member representing Ofu State constituency Dr. Friday Alih, has charged members of the Peoples Democratic Party to be united and focused ahead of the coming general elections to ensure victory at all levels.
He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government has done enough campaign for PDP as a result of their abysmal performance.
Dr Alih who made the statement last weekend at the enlarged PDP stakeholders meeting in Ofu Local Government Area also admonished party faithfuls not to undermine unity of purpose within the members.
The humble law maker stated that the heavy turnout of party members is a pointer to the fact that they’re on ground, and on course to reclaim the state and Nigeria in the next elections.
The Chairman House Committee on Health and Deputy Minority Whip, who was visibly happy for the massive attendance, promised to stay committed to quality representation of his people and make the party proud.
In his own response, Ofu divisional party chairman, Engr Gabriel Itanyi thanked party Stakeholders and members for their Large turn out despite the short notice.
The party chairman promised to provide level playing ground for all aspirants in the forthcoming party primary elections. He commended the resilience of Dr Alih for not succumbing to overture from the ruling party to dump PDP.
The meeting which took place at Ojodu temporal office in Aloji ward was attended by party leaders, Dr.Sule Odoma, Idris Igagwu, Hon. Ameh Isah, Victor Adoji, Hon Sediq Abubakar Ainoko, Engr Akoji, Comrade Muhammed KB with many others.
